EZ Claw Extendable Cable Tie-Back for 15K Auxiliary Miller Rotator Winches

Safely control your rotator’s auxiliary winch hook and prevent winch line nesting with the EZ Claw Extendable Cable Tie-Back. Providing 80 pounds of winch line support, this tandem Line Saver tensioner setup is designed specifically for Miller brand rotators with 15,000-lb. auxiliary winches, like the Century 1135 and Century 1140.

When installed, each tensioner’s internal recoil spring provides just the right amount of slack as the boom extends and the right amount of tension to prevent the winch line from birdnesting on the drum during retrieval. When slack, the tie-back cable remains easily accessible from the ground, eliminating the need for rotator operators to climb onto the deck to remove the hook.

Unlike traditional spring-loaded tie-backs, this retractable cable system offers a safer, more efficient and more reliable way to store and secure the hook along the mast—both in transit and on scene. By reducing climbing and handling hazards, the Extendable Cable Tie-back helps prevent falls and injuries and provides the professional solution for securing the auxiliary hook.

Supporting a pair of 40-lb. tensioners, the custom bracket mounts directly to the winch drum housing with a single bolt. The kit can be purchased individually or in pairs for both sides of the boom. Besides the tandem 40-lb tensioners and bracket, the kit includes a carabiner and a triangular-shaped Connect Clip link to attach the cable to the winch hook.

Forget about stretched-out springs or unreliable tie-back methods. The EZ Claw Tie-Back outperforms factory spring tie-backs that overextend or lose tension over time due to operator error. This system eliminates the need to free-wheel turret winches when raising the boom, thus streamlining operations and improving overall efficiency.
